Gia Gupta

My name is Gia Gupta, and I’m a rising senior at Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences. I’m passionate about the intersection of dance, technology,

 

and Parkinson’s care—three areas that have shaped both my creativity and purpose. Inspired by my late grandmother, who lived with

 

Parkinson’s and experienced tremors and loss of motor function, I set out to create something meaningful in her memory. This led me to

 

develop an innovative web-based application that serves as a convenient at-home therapy companion for individuals living with Parkinson’s

 

Disease.Recognizing that most existing therapeutic games are designed for younger audiences, I wanted to build a platform that is easy,

 

accessible, and—a tool that helps enhance motor skills while fostering joy and movement through interactive experiences. Through this

 

project, I hope to combine my love for dance and technology with a commitment to improving the lives of those living with Parkinson’s.
